7.3.6. Removal and spring installation
THE GENERAL DATA

The prevention

Both springs of a back suspension bracket of the car should be one group of rigidity and it is necessary to replace them complete with both parties of a back suspension bracket. Groups of rigidity of a spring mark a paint. Establish a new spring with the same marks which were on old. If marks on an old spring are not visible, consult at servicing deport Skoda.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish couplers on a removed spring 31 (fig. of the Detail of a back suspension bracket with drum-type brakes see) and compress it a little. In the absence of a coupler the spring can be connected in the compressed condition a strong wire.
2. Turn away a bolt 23 bottom fastenings of the shock-absorber, keeping other key a nut 22 from проворачивания. Take out a bolt 23, thereby having disconnected and the bottom end of the shock-absorber.
3. Will hang out a back part of the car of from outside replaced spring till the moment of a separation of a wheel from the earth and establish a body on a reliable support.
4. Wringing out downwards the lever of a beam 18 back suspension brackets within elasticity резинометаллической support 17, remove a spring from the car.
5. Cautiously dismiss a spring, having removed from it couplers.
6. Remove top 32 and the bottom 27 linings if they remained, accordingly, on a body (in a wheel niche) and on a beam of a back suspension bracket.
7. Linings strongly deformed or lost elasticity 27 and 32 replace.
8. Examine the removed spring. If spring coils are deformed, cracked or with contact traces, replace a spring.
9. Restore if necessary damaged varnish covering of a spring.
10. Before spring installation the top and bottom linings on it should take places so that the ends of extreme coils were in dredging of linings, fix linings изоляционной a tape or an adhesive tape.
11. Compress a spring couplers and establish it on the car upside-down. Thus a bolt 23 with a nut 22 bottom fastenings of the shock-absorber replace new. The head of a bolt of the bottom fastening at installation should be directed to an internal part of the car. A definitive inhaling of a bolt 23 spend on the car standing on the earth. The moment of an inhaling of a bolt of the bottom fastening of the shock-absorber – 40 Нм, then to tighten for 90 .
