9.2. The vacuum amplifier

THE GENERAL DATA

The vacuum amplifier with the main cylinder

The prevention

The vacuum amplifier is not subject to repair, in case of malfunction it is necessary to replace it in gathering.

After removal of the vacuum amplifier самоконтрящиеся it is necessary to replace nuts of its fastening new.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the idle engine press 5–6 times a brake pedal. 2. Keeping a brake pedal in the pressed position, start up the engine. The brake pedal should move forward. 3. If it has not occurred, check up work of the return valve and density of landing of a vacuum hose 6 (fig. the Vacuum amplifier with the main cylinder see). The return valve should pass air only in one party.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the main brake cylinder (subsection 9.3 see). 2. Disconnect a vacuum hose 6 (fig. the Vacuum amplifier with the main cylinder see) from the vacuum amplifier 10. 3. Turn away a bolt of fastening and remove an air line blowing feet of the driver (subsection 11.6 see). On the models equipped with system "Comfort", remove the central block of management. 4. Remove the switch of a signal of braking (subsection 9.10.7 see). 5. Disconnect a pedal of a brake from a pusher of the vacuum amplifier (see Subsection 9.1). 6. Turn away four nuts 2 (fig. Fastening of pedal knot see) fastenings of the vacuum amplifier from within salon. 7. Remove the vacuum amplifier 10 (fig. the Vacuum amplifier with the main cylinder see) from outside a motor compartment.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the vacuum amplifier upside-down, thus replace самоконтрящиеся nuts 2 (fig. Fastening of pedal knot see) or 8 (fig. the Vacuum amplifier with the main cylinder see) its fastenings by the new. 2. Replace also the damaged lining 9 established between the amplifier and a board передка. 3. After installation add a liquid in a tank and pump over brake system (subsection 9.9.6 see).

The moment of an inhaling of a nut of fastening of the vacuum amplifier – 20 Нм.
