On sidewall tyres at manufacturing put marks.
For example: 185/60 R14 82 Т,
Where
– 185 – width of a profile of the tyre in mm;
– 60 – a series index (the relation of height of a profile to width in %);
– R – a symbol of radial tyres;
– 14 – landing diameter of the tyre in inches;
– 82 – an index of load-carrying capacity of the tyre (the maximum loading on which the tyre is calculated);
– Т – an index of speed (the maximum speed at which the tyre can bear loading according to the load-carrying capacity).
On sidewall the tyre date of issue is specified also. For example: DOT 0100 means that the tyre is made in the first week 2000. |
